How will I know I have found the right therapist for me?

It is important to feel a rapport with your therapist. In the first session I will ask you some questions about yourself; your past and present situation, and your reasons for coming to therapy at this time. This enables us to determine how best we can work together. It will also be the opportunity for you ask me questions about anything that may be unclear and to decide whether I am the right therapist for you. If the answer is yes, then we can agree on a number of sessions to get started. If not, then there is no obligation to continue.

How long is a session?

A session lasts 50 minutes usually taking place at the same day and time each week

If for whatever reason you are late, unfortunately the session will still have to finish at the same time

How many sessions will I need?

This all depends on the concerns you wish to work on. I work on an open ended basis so we can discuss this together. If you wish to continue after the initial consultation we can agree on a number of sessions and review this on a regular basis together

How much will I be charged?

Session fees are £50 for individuals payable by cash on the day or bank transfer by arrangement

Therapy students requiring therapy or therapy supervision will be charged a session fee of £40

Confidentiality

What you say in counselling is confidential and what you discuss stays between us. However, there are a few exceptions, which I will discuss at our first meeting

How do I make an appointment?

Appointments can be arranged by telephone or email
